Delete your Cue account and data

You can delete individual reminders at any time inside the app. If you want your whole account and everything in it removed, you can do that yourself in the app, or ask us.
Delete your account in the app
Open Settings in Cue and choose Delete account at the bottom. Confirm with your password, and your account and everything in it are erased immediately.
Nothing is queued and nothing waits on us. There is no recovery afterward.

If you'd rather not do it yourself, or you can't sign in, email support@aldermeridian.com from the email address on your Cue account, with the subject line Delete my Cue account.
We reply to confirm, and the deletion is completed within 30 days of your request — usually much sooner.
What gets deleted
Everything tied to your account is permanently erased:
- Your account itself, including your email address and your name
- Every reminder you've set down — text, notes, dates, categories, and recurrence settings
- Every cue someone sent you, and every cue you sent that they never took
- Everything you wrote in the thread of a shared cue
- Who you're connected to, including anyone you accepted or blocked
- Any report you filed about someone
- Any invite you sent that nobody ever took, including the address you sent it to
You don't have to delete your account for that last one. An invite link lasts 30 days; if nobody takes it, Cue deletes the invite and the address on its own. Your reminder stays — it just isn't shared with anyone.
- Your completion and confirmation history
- Your notification settings and device tokens
Nothing is retained afterward. We keep no backup copy of your reminders, and we do not keep an anonymized or derived version of your data.
Cues you shared with other people
A shared cue is two copies joined by a link, not one copy you both look at. Deleting your account removes yours. The copy on their phone is theirs and stays with them — we can't reach into someone else's account and take something they were relying on.
What we do remove is you. Your name comes off those cues; where it stood, they see “Someone.” In the thread, every message you wrote is replaced with “[deleted]”. What they wrote stays, because those are their words in their copy — we don't erase one person's side of a conversation from someone else's phone. They cannot contact you through Cue afterwards, because there is no longer an account to reach.
If you want a specific shared cue gone from someone else's phone before you delete your account, take it back first: open the cue you sent and remove it while your account still exists.
What is kept, and for how long
Basic transaction records may be retained where the law requires it — for example, payment records, if you ever subscribed. These contain no reminder content. Everything else is gone.
Deleting only some of your data
You don't have to delete your account to remove your information. Any reminder can be deleted individually in the app using the trash icon on the item. For a reminder that's only yours, Cue gives you a few seconds to change your mind and then it's gone for good. For a shared one, Cue tells you first what the other person keeps, because deleting your copy never deletes theirs.
You can also stop hearing from any one person without deleting anything: open Settings, find them under People, and block them. They are never told, and you keep the cues you already have.
